EARTHWORKS AND CONSTRUCTION WORKS INSIDE AKKUYU NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

CONTRACT VALUE: $ 15.800.000

The $20 billion Akkuyu NPP project is the first nuclear energy project to be launched by Russia and Turkey under the Build-Own-Operate model. In 2010, the Republic of Turkey and the Russian Federation signed an agreement on the construction of a nuclear power plant at the Akkuyu site. On 14 April 2015, the foundation of the marine structures and harbour at the facility was laid. The foundations were laid for the first unit in April 2018, the second unit in June 2020, the third unit in March 2021 and the fourth unit in July 2022. On the 27th of April 2023, the fuel rods were delivered and the structure came to be known as the Nuclear Power Plant. Akkuyu NPP will supply electricity to over 12 million consumers, including civil and industrial infrastructure facilities in more than 10 provinces of Turkey. Akkuyu NPP, the first nuclear power plant of the Republic of Turkey, is today the largest nuclear construction site in the world. 4 power units equipped with the state-of-the-art VVER-1200 reactor are being built simultaneously. Modern semi-speed turbines generate 40 billion kWh of energy per year.

In this unique project, CSK CONTRACTING, TECHNOLOGY, CONSULTING AND COMMERCIAL INCORPORATED COMPANY has successfully completed the earthworks and civil construction works of IC İÇTAŞ İNŞAAT.
